A Week In Ghana - Still An Experience
Its been a week since i came into Ghana precisely KNUST. And it has been a worthwhile experience being into the campus. The campus is very big and beautiful too with so many gigiantic hostels like the Africa Hall, Unity Hall, Indece Hall etc with eight floors each housing both the male and female students. Also there is a hostel for foreign students called the "Guss" hostel where Nigerians are mostly housed. Even if i should spend one month in the campus, i will not be able to get used to the whole campus. Its really really big. Within this short period, i have been opportuned to attend mass on sunday at their Catholic Chaplaincy. One interesting thing about this was the fact that i was welcomed for worshipping at the chaplaincy for the first time with around of applause by the great congregation. Ialso paid my taxi fare with the "peswes" for the first time. Going to the Ghana market for shopping was one thing i longed for and when i got there i discovered that there was nothing different from what obtains in Nigeria. Things were a little bit on the high side in Ghana than Nigeria. But it was all about being adventurous - knowing what happens in another country apart from yours. Buying with the "cedis" was a difficult job for me except for the help of a friend that escorted me to the market.

FIRST VISIT TO GHANA - EXPERIENCE
It was a thing of joy travelling to Ghana for the time in my life. I left Owerri to Lagos on a Monday to proceed to Ghana the next day being TUESDAY. The before i left for Ghana was full of anxiety because i couldn't sleep well. For this reason i woke up by 4.20am Nigerian time to prepare. I got to ABC Transport Terminal and obtained a ticket. The journey began around 9am in the morning. In the course of the journey, we crossed the borders with a lot of checks by the immigration officers at the borders in Seme, lome and Aflao . The journey was quite interesting because i met new friends even though the journey was far. We arrived Ghana safely by 8.30pm GMT.
